Expected outcomes and deliverables

Phase 1 - Project Plan: Student-consultant groups will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.

Phase 2 - Project Execution: Student-consultants will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with your organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.

Phase 3 - Outcome - Presentation: Student-consultant groups will conduct a 50-slide presentation for your representative(s) that outlines the following:

  • A statement of the problem and a recognition of its business importance.
  • An understanding of its key drivers, based on research.
  • A clear action plan with timelines and resource implications.

Project Examples

Requirements

Beginning this January, groups of six Master's student-consultants will spend over 180 hours developing an action plan to addresses a current opportunity or challenge facing your organization.

Based on the volume and quality of information that you provide and research conducted, consultant groups will develop a tailored strategy to meet your organizational goals.

Sample topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Reducing customer churn.
  • Increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Reducing employee turnover.
  • Increasing employee satisfaction.
  • Identifying new customer segments (e.g., the millenial market)
  • Identifying new employee segments

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
