During this course, students are learning about internal control assessment, materiality, audit risks, and evidence as it relates to the auditing process. They will also highlight the requirement for developing audit plan and analytical procedures. In addition, information on the types and content of audit reports, professional judgment, ethics, and the legal obligations of auditors will be covered. The project will get students to draw attention to current issues and developments in auditing and other assurance engagements. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a detailed report and presentation.
Learners
The final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation of key findings and recommendations.
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights, and recommendations.

Project Examples
Requirements
Students in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project activities might include but are not limited to:
- Documentation of an internal process
- Preliminary analytic calculations
- Identification of risks and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks
- Applying test of internal control to detect risk of material misstatements
- Review transactions for accuracy
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.
Provide relevant information/data as needed for the project.
Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
