Students will work as part of a group, interacting with you on a project to develop an informational website for your business or organization. The students will present and submit their work at several stages of development. The end result will be a working static website that your business or organization can use. Student will:

  • Present an overview of the proposed project
  • Design and develop questions that will help to ascertain the true operating needs of your business or organization
  • Apply the User-Centered Development Cycle to web development
  • Create an aesthetically pleasing design for the user interfaces that serves to enhance the value of the systems functionality

Project Examples

Requirements

Project examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the front-end functionality identified in the Requirements Phase using industry standard client side components such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Identify the marketing concerns for the client's website and apply marketing principles in the design of a website
  • Interact with the client to develop a website and apply technologies to support the client's needs and wants
  • Gather client and user information to develop the website

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the course to review the project scope.

A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.
