Project Examples

Requirements

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Project activities that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

- Initial outlines through to detailed reports based on their course discipline.

We are looking for students to get a broad understanding of their practical application of their field of student in real life businesses.

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.

Students from Douglas College who are completing projects as part of a course are required to have signed documents from the employer prior to starting the project. They will be provided in a timely manner. Is there someone at your organization with signing authority to sign off on paperwork?

A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the course to review the project scope.
