Expected outcomes and deliverables

The deliverables will laid out in 3 steps, where the final 2 are dependent on what is decided in the first:

  1. Background document including promotional plan objectives, creative theme, and key messaging
  2. Paid Search and email promotions including research on relevant keywords.
  3. Creation of a minimum four planned promotional tools including creative samples based on the marketing foundation of the background document. The tools can include Interactive communications, sales promotion, public relations materials, plus experiential/event or sponsorship materials and personal selling/ direct response  promotions samples.

Requirements

Having a good marketing strategy gives your organization brand exposure, consumer loyalty, and positive consumer association among other things. In this assignment a group of 5 to 6 student-consultants will work for an entire semester on creating a promotional plan for your company which will be accompanied by samples of promotional materials in different media - script, print ad, PR, sponsorship, etc.

Your promotional project can be linked to anything you are currently doing in your marketing strategy or something new. This project can help you address a marketing challenge.

Some examples of this could include:

  • Reaching a new target market
  • Marketing a new product
  • Promoting a special marketing sale

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Students will be updating the client on a weekly basis and feedback during the term is helpful.

Clients are invited to the final presentation of the project at the end of the semester on July 31st. Attendance is not mandatory but is appreciated.
