Project Examples
Requirements
Students will undertake a four-month co-op placement with your organization, during which they will complete an extensive needs analysis and problem formulation relating to their area of study, under the remote guidance of an instructor. When the students return to Waterloo, they will undertake a four-month problem solving exercise, where they will use the knowledge gained in their time with your organization to define a complex problem and identify a solution.
For example, in a co-op term with Bata Colombia in May 2017, students undertook a needs analysis, identifying 204 needs, and developed a prototype to improve efficiency of the production line with a projected 20% efficiency increase.
