Project Examples
Requirements
By the end of the project, students will be able to identify and explain key legal principles related to employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety (OHS), workers' compensation, and privacy legislation. They will understand how these
legal frameworks influence the development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks for the
organization.
Students will develop the ability to draft HR policies that are legally compliant and tailored to the specific needs of an organization. They will learn to identify legal gaps in existing policies and address these through precise policy revisions or the creation of new policies, ensuring alignment with current laws and regulations.
Students will improve their ability to conduct legal gap analyses, identifying areas where HR policies may fall short of legal requirements. They will develop strategies to address these issues, considering both the legal implications and the practical needs of the
organization. This process will refine their problem-solving abilities, especially in navigating complex legal scenarios.
By the end of the project, students will be able to design and propose comprehensive implementation plans for HR policies, including detailed timelines, key actions, and communication strategies. They will understand how to ensure that new or revised policies are successfully integrated into the organization, with a focus on training and employee engagement.
