Participants in the DTM program learn and practice technology, business process, and communication skills to enhance their ability to contribute to digital transformation.
Throughout the project, participants will complete the following activities:
- Develop a value proposition statement for the organization/unit
- Create a process map and a customer journey/empathy map
- Explore technology options (e.g., application integration, customer experience)
- Identify KPIs for the process and create options for improvement
- Analyze the options using a decision matrix and recommend change
- Create a draft project plan
- Identify bottlenecks and possible mitigation strategies for the project proposal
These activities and the assignments in the DTM program will build towards creating the material for the final project deliverable and count towards the 80 hours of work.
Learners
The final project deliverable is a 10-20 slide PowerPoint presentation and an optional 10-minute pitch to the employer detailing the current process and their recommendation for change.
Participant groups will work directly with participating host organizations throughout the project to provide information and regular feedback.
DTM faculty will also provide feedback and guide participants in the proper application of the concepts.
Participants can complete this project without any prior knowledge of the company or business unit and their processes but will be expected to research and learn as the project evolves.
