I learned a lot within this role! I learned how to balance multiple commitments and activities, as well as being overly communicative when working in a remote or hybrid setting. It helps your manager keep tabs on what you're doing and help them course correct what your priorities should be when working. Moreover, I learned a lot about the content creator space in the GTA and the obstacles that people of colour and marginalized communities face in said space. They are more vulnerable to systemic issues that can lead them to face more online hate and burnout than would their cisgender, caucasian, and neurotypical counterparts. I was able to create social content using tools and platforms that I had not been aware of prior, and I also was able to create standard operating procedures for incoming interns so that they could do their assigned work with a visual reference to draw from.
