The goal of this project is to create a digital collaboration workspace that allows a Project Team to place, move. edit, and delete Notes content on a visual workboard organized along a timeline background and export the content to an organized numbered digital file. This allows virtual teams to function as they would in a boardroom planning environment where they using Post-It Notes.

Key deliverables:

Semester 1 - Team will provide a working MVP demo of this project

Semester 2 - Team will improve the platform, conduct user testing and get feedback, make corrections, alterations or improvements, fix bugs, create and test export file process

Review project preparation materials and determine project parameters and functionalities.

Decide on a project development process that they would like to use to keep on track. ie Agile, Notion, Airtable

Define development software, cloud platform (likely AWS or Azure) and security protocols that would be appropriate for this design and development project

Define team roles and responsibilities

Determine key tasks and milestones

Arrange a regular meeting schedule with CEO to review and coordinate the project every 2 weeks

Commit and complete development tasks; communicate and attempt to resolve any challenges to team members and team leader

Students will gain experience developing a software project using an accountability, communication and development framework that would suit both large corporate teams and smaller start-up projects.

They will have a chance to make and evaluate key development decisions, decide on software and both give and receive feedback on their work from the team and the executive sponsor.

They will be able to improve their communications ability with managers in determining language that fairly articulates their needs and communicates their development activities.

They will gain experience and get exposure to a positive team development atmosphere that promises to be fun, challenging, and recognize and celebrate both team and personal wins.

Students will gain experience developing a digital workspace app.

Students will be evaluated in accordance with the course's evaluation rubric.
