Student Life Network has the best perks for Canadian students, all in one place - tuition giveaways, scholarships, student resources, deals and more! This year alone, SLN will give away over $200,000 in prizing & scholarships, including Canada's Luckiest Student, where one student will win a life-changing prize bundle worth over $50,000. To continue to communicate the right information at the right time to students at Colleges & Universities across Canada, we want to track the important dates for students like tuition deadlines, first/last day of classes, reading weeks, etc. For yconic & SLN, we are also interested to learn about student, parent, guidance counsellors & principal conferences/events that we should participate as a vendor or promote. For Canada's Newcomer's Network, we would like research on settlement organizations & events so we can share it with our members; and baby/parent shows to share with Parent Life Network members.

Deliverables

You'll be assigned 1 or 2 of the following research tasks:

  • Research tuition deadlines, first day of classes, reading weeks, & last day of classes for each semester data onto a Google Sheet that will be shared with you.
  • Research College/University Student Unions at campuses across Canada. You'll input data onto a shared Google Sheet. This information will help SLN to reach Student Unions regarding their events & other partnership opportunities.
  • Research Conferences & Events that Student Life Network could potentially partner with, sponsor or share with our SLN members.
  • Research University/College fairs, student, teacher/ guidance counsellor and principal conferences that yconic could potentially partner with, sponsor or run workshops at.
  • Research Newcomer Settlement organizations that we can share as a resource to members of the Canadian Newcomers Network members.
  • Research parent influencers, provincial new baby forms & baby shows for Parent Life Network to attend or share with PLN members.
Mentorship
  • You will be provided with a detailed outline of expectations and tasks then overseen by a senior member of staff.
  • The project lead will offer you regular feedback and critique of your work.
  • The project lead will be available to answer questions & provide feedback throughout your project
  • 55 Rush Leadership will be hosting a series of workshops that are optional and will cover topics related to career planning & leadership skills
