The Human and Nature Youth Club is focused on providing educational and fun programs for youth with an emphasis on developing their naturalistic intelligence and social responsibility. HNYC is launching a new club chapter initiative for high school students called NatureX. Interested high school students will open a Nature X club in their school and go through the process and journey of running a club and leading their peers to complete the NatureX curriculum. The student(s) for this project will be assisting to create the general framework of the future clubs: rule book, procedures, curriculum, advertising, website design, copywrite, etc. Essentially support all the preparatory work before HNYC can welcome its first group of club leaders!

Deliverables

Design a competition project for teams of youth to

  • create a competition idea that combines the NatureX mission with high school youth interests.
  • Create the required marketing material for social media and print outs
  • Support in gaining participants by emailing school and building networks with other youth clubs

Create and design a website for NatureX

  • create a simplified wireframe of the website design plan
  • Create a colour scheme and brand identify
  • Use Wix.com to create the website and implement the design

Create the framework for the naturex club

  • write a comprehensive set of policies that cover club functioning, duties and responsibilities of club officers, and a detailed charter of the purpose of the club
  • Create 5 projects for that combines the NatureX mission with high school youth interests
Mentorship

Student will be provided a small budget and will have near full control on how to deploy funds

Student will have weekly meetings with the leadership team, including the director of the org.

Student will have bi-weekly mentoring sessions to review learnings, methodology, and discern improvement areas

Student will be provided existing frameworks to inform their decision making process but given the space to bring their own

Students will have the ability to rely on admin team during working hours for ad-hoc support and questions.
