Details

The objective of this project is to refine and enhance a one-hour presentation on Emotional Resilience and Action in a Changing Climate, ensuring it is engaging, well-structured, and supported by high-quality resources. The final presentation will provide health professionals with tools to address climate-related emotions, such as eco-anxiety, grief, and hope, while fostering resilience and action.

The student will review course materials, refine the script and slides, create participant handouts, and improve overall presentation flow and engagement.

Deliverables

Student Expectations & Deliverables

  1. Review and analyze the Facilitator Manuals (Workshops 1-4) to extract key concepts.
  2. Review and refine the existing presentation script for clarity, engagement, and coherence.
  3. Ensure alignment between the script, slides, and learning objectives.
  4. Improve Canva slides for readability, visual appeal, and impact.
  5. Add relevant images, icons, or infographics to support key ideas.
  6. Format slides for clear structure and professional design.
  7. Create at least two professional handouts that summarize key takeaways.
  8. Develop the Climate Emotions Coping Guide as a practical reference for managing eco-anxiety, climate grief, and emotional responses. We want to provide enough information to be valuable but also generate interest for an upcoming course on the topic.
  9. Develop the Active Hope & Resilience Toolkit as a structured guide for turning climate concerns into meaningful action.
  10. Ensure handouts are engaging, visually appealing, and easy to read.
  11. Organize and refine the flow of the one-hour session to ensure logical progression.
  12. Develop interactive elements, such as discussion prompts, reflection exercises, or audience engagement strategies.
  13. Suggest a strong opening and closing for impact and retention.
  14. If time allows, create social media content to promote the presentation and course.
