The project involves developing a functional prototype for a PHP-based web application accelerator to enhance user experience (UX) through improved usability, performance, and scalability. The goal is to create a robust and user-friendly prototype to serve as a foundation for future development. The project will focus on integrating cloud services, utilizing Terraform to deploy the application as containers on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. This will allow learners to apply their knowledge of the web, cloud computing, and infrastructure as code. The project will provide an opportunity to explore the intersection of web development and cloud technologies, emphasizing best practices in UX design and scalable architecture. By the end of the project, learners will have gained hands-on experience in creating a cloud-ready web application prototype.

Deliverables

Participants will work through the following tasks to achieve the project goals:

  • Conduct Background Research: Understand our vision for the web application, including essential features, target audience, and use cases.
  • Identify Key Product Areas: Pinpoint essential features and workflows that will form the backbone of the user experience.
  • Prototype and Code Development: Implement a coded, working prototype that covers the foundational UX flow for the main areas of the web app using existing HTML
  • User Interaction Flow and UX: Design the user interaction flow, focusing on intuitive navigation, ease of use, and overall user satisfaction within a web-based framework.
  • UX Testing and Feedback Collection: Engage in UX testing with potential users, collect feedback, and iteratively refine the prototype to ensure a high-quality, functional UX.


By the end of this project, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the core features and objectives of the web application.
  • Complete a functional prototype of the main UX flows.
  • Deploy using Terraform on the cloud of their choice
  • Present a summary of their process, key design choices, challenges encountered, and recommended next steps.


We will provide a UX dashboard (in HTML). The deliverables for this project include a functional web application prototype that interacts with cloud endpoints using Terraform. Additionally, documentation detailing the deployment process and architecture design will be provided. The prototype should demonstrate enhanced usability, performance, and scalability, showcasing the integration of cloud services. Learners will also submit a report summarizing their approach and findings.
