The Role of the Marketing Intern is to:

Conduct a full range of marketing activities targeted at US located independent veterinary clinics and independent pet stores to promote "NUTRICURA" Branded pet foods, treats, toppers and natural pet health supplements.

The goal is to communicate the Brand's core value proposition to the two target segments and differentiate the Brand from the competition.

  • Create and disseminate marketing, advertising, LinkedIn social media, email and trade PR collateral materials.
  • Research the main competitive brands/products and identify their strengths and weaknesses and recommend how NUTRICURA Brand should counter/position against them.
  • Closely monitor and evaluate the Brand's marketing results against sales achieved and make recommendations to improve messaging and target market outreach strategy and tactics.
  • Create website / social media content and provide recommendations to increase site traffic.

Deliverables

Success is measured at the end of the internship with: (Indicate deliverables you expect the student(s) to complete, as exemplified below)

  • Increased Brand product presence at more US independent veterinary clinics and independent pet stores.
  • PR releases picked up by trade magazines and websites
  • The number of LinkedIn followers of the Brand indicating effective communication of the Brands core values to the targetted audience.
  • Increase in the Brand's sales revenues.

Mentorship

The Intern will work closely with the President of the company who shall be providing mentorship, Brand guidance and will fully available to provide direction and answer pertinent questions. This will also include weekly online progress meetings where adjustments to the Intern's tasks and duties will be made as required.
