CASANO was originally conceived as a means to address risks and needs associated with supervision and/or substance use treatment of court-involved persons. The platform was more broadly designed to also support a range of applications, including workforce development, apprenticeship training, and behavioral health in young adult populations. However, use of the technology may be culturally dependent and subject to jurisdictional limitations related to data privacy and other regulatory or ethical considerations. The goal of this project is to provide a preliminary assessment for further, more detailed, market research. Either individual or team student projects are acceptable.
To consider: How well does the CASANO Quest app concept fit within UK demographics? What are the cultural considerations across the population and within sub-groups? What regulatory or ethical issues are to be considered? Specifically, what would a survey of correctional (probation), job training, or substance abuse treatment professionals yield to encourage or discourage more in-depth market analysis? Would a survey of other accessible students represent a meaningful sample to test any project findings related to usability and acceptance by the target end-user?
The project report should include some primary data collection - surveys and research into our target purchasing audience (i.e. public or private agency) and target end-user client. The company must develop a marketing strategy and sales strategy based on market research, competitive analysis, identified strategic marketing partners, and resource requirements, to prioritize target markets and applications.
