Details

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

We’re the social networking app building a better digital world for women and non-binary folks. Whether you want to ask for support, make meaningful connections, or get in-depth self-development advice from the experts, we have a place for you!

Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.

If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics
  • Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization
  • Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector
  • Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story
  • Source behavioural psychologists or content creators to work with for our educational modules
  • Improving search engine optimization (SEO)
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

Daily check in calls

Will provide everything we have on our public relations/marketing/branding roadmap which will help the student(s) a lot

Established in 2014, InPower was a Facebook group fostering women and non-binary individuals grappling with instances of harassment or bullying, and seeking a safe and supportive online environment. InPower has garnered substantial traction, evidenced by an impressive user base exceeding 30,000 on its Facebook group. This user constituency forms a pivotal foundation for InPower's overarching mission to extend assistance and solidarity to those seeking refuge within its digital enclave. Nowadays, InPower is taking a significant step forward in its commitment to fostering a safe and supportive online environment for women and non-binary individuals. The organization is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a dedicated app that will serve as a support platform and a digital safe space. With this new app, InPower aims to enhance its mission by providing a more streamlined and accessible avenue for individuals seeking assistance and solidarity. The objective is to create a vibrant and nurturing community where women and non-binary folks can connect, share experiences, and find strength in unity. The app will offer a range of features designed to facilitate meaningful interactions, including forums, chat functionalities, and resources tailored to address the unique challenges faced by its users.

We are an alternative social media app for those who have suffered abuse, harassment, trolls, flaming, and other forms of cyberbullying and looking to be part of a safe space online where members put in the work to illuminate unhealthy communication and misinformation. Depending on which group you'd like to join, our members need to be educated on important topics and information so we keep our communities a safe space (History of Homophobia, Conflict Resolution, Black Lives Matter movement, etc). This can vary from important things happening in the world today or social etiquette/intelligence resources. We strive to have the highest standards of healthy and respectful communication compared to any social media platform existing today.

You can think of it like a wellness oasis - not just a social media platform. From peer-to-peer self development workshops, one-on-one counselling, and online education, we are a one-stop platform for anyone looking to grow, heal, and learn. We ultimately want our members to get to a place where they can receive love, and give it back to the universe. Teaming up with behavioural psychologists for our foundational badges to join groups contributes significantly to cultivating a safer and more supportive online space for women and non-binary individuals. These badges educate members on healthy communication skills, such as: Empathy, Conflict Resolution, Perspective Taking, and much more. This allows our members to know they are part of sub communities and groups with other members who share the same communication skills as them, cultivating a safer space online.

We have teamed up with behavioural psychologists to educate members on the psychology on why someone would be struggling in social or emotional skills. On InPower we give positive reinforcement, making our members know it is not their fault if these skills are weak, and that it has been rooted from our traumas and absent resources growing up. Providing an educational space where members can reflect, heal, and grow, and providing a community space where members can practice their skills of support, empathy, and connection, is our mission and belief that will change cyber bullying once and for all!
