Her images have received international recognition and awards.
Julie combines her passion for travel and storytelling skills to create Storytelling Travel Tour Workshops for adult and senior programming. This one-hour program is a stunning visual tour of locations Julie has travelled around the globe.
Julie is looking for an individual to help expand the workshop offerings and to design promotional material for the workshops. The ideal candidate will share a love of travel and visual storytelling to assist with:
- the research and content creation for more tours (example locations include: Vancouver, Halifax/Nova Scotia, Ottawa/Tulip Festival, Las Vegas/Grand Canyon, and New York City);
- creation of presentation materials with Julie's images using PowerPoint slides or other presentation software;
- creation of promotional material for the workshops for email and social media campaigns.
Julie has had experience mentoring other students through the York University Placement Partners 2020 Program and the Acadium.com platform.
We will meet Monday mornings on Zoom to discuss each week's tasks and to answer any questions. We can do a brief follow up meeting on Fridays at the start of the program for review of the work and to provide feedback; otherwise the student can ask questions throughout the week.
