Details

Our start up company is creating opportunities to make the international shipping process faster and easier. We believe we know a lot about our consumers and target consumer base, but we need to dig deeper and understand the day to day operational needs of the people on the ground, how our product can help them and how competitive we are in the global shipping industry.

We would like to collaborate with students to build a detailed set of analytics and to assist in our planning processes.

  1. Current State Analysis
  2. Elicitation of requirements through such techniques as benchmarking and market analysis, document analysis, interviews, and surveys.
  3. Requirements documents through such techniques as text, mockups, and process diagrams.
  4. Risk Log

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending strategies to market our product.
  • Recommending strategies to best position our company.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our products, market and industry
  • Understanding of how culture can impact growth
  • Understanding how different techniques can be used to take advantage of strengths of different demographic groups.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending how we can best position ourselves within the industry

Final deliverables should include

  • Requirements documents including business rules, process maps, and high level functional preferences
  • A final report summarizing the findings.
  • A 10-minute presentation.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with our Chief Operating Officer for coaching and mentorship throughout the project. They will also have access to the team who will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our products and services
  • Our current understanding of the industry
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

We are small and energetic and excited to work with your students.
