We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications that support our mission and vision statement.

We believe this project will include:

We are seeking grant writers to join our non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting young women and girls. We do not require experience in this area, only a strong desire to learn and succeed. The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying and pursuing grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals. They will work closely with program directors and the development team to gather information and data necessary for crafting compelling grant proposals. The ideal candidate will have excellent research, writing, and communication skills, and be able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young women and girls in our community, and to work with a dedicated and passionate team

Deliverables
  • Research Funding Opportunities: grant writer will be responsible for researching funding opportunities from sources, including government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other organizations that align with the non-profit's mission and programs.
  • The grant writer will draft compelling grant proposals that accurately reflect the organization's vision and goals while addressing the specific requirements of each funding opportunity. This includes working closely with program directors to gather information and data to support the grant proposal.
  • Maintain Records: The grant writer must maintain detailed and accurate records of all grant applications, this includes tracking progress.
  • Communicate with Funders: The grant writer may need to communicate with funders during the grant application process to answer questions or provide additional information.
  • Manage Deadlines: The grant writer will be responsible for managing the proposal submission process and ensuring all deadlines are met.


Deliverables

  • Research documents of grants for non-profit organizations and search strategies to find organization specific grants (i.e keywords to include)
  • Rough drafts of grants (brainstorming ideas, research on how to best answer the question)
  • Final grant submissions
  • Presentation on grant application process and specific requirements
Mentorship
  • Clear Communication: The organizers will provide clear communication to the grant writer
  • Access to Information: The organizers will provide the grant writer with access to relevant information and data necessary for developing strong grant proposals. This includes program descriptions, budgets, statistics, and impact data.
  • Training and Professional Development: The organizers may offer training and professional development opportunities for the grant writer to improve their skills in grant writing, research, and project management. This can include attending workshops, webinars, and conferences.
  • The organizers will collaborate with the grant writer to provide feedback and support in the development of the grant proposals.
  • Recognition and Rewards: The organizers may recognize and reward the grant writer's efforts and successes, such as acknowledging their contributions to the grant proposals, promoting their achievements, and offering bonuses or other incentives for securing funding.  "Payment by funder C$1,400.00"
