Details

MentaMorph Money is a financial game and workshops that will be ready in the Fall. We need a campaign to make it known to the corporate market, and secondarily to schools and financial institutions who are interested in using it for financial education.

MentaMorph helps users better understand how to practice making life and financial decisions. “Make your financial mistakes here, so they don’t cost you in the real world.” The MentaMorph game provides players with income, expenses, assets, debt, and real life situations like emergencies. The rules are simple: each round or week has real life needs and expectations to fulfill and the goal is to use the income and assets earned to survive and thrive. Mimicking real life financial situations, this game is not only fun but educational.

Scenarios can be created for virtually any audience. The tree farm scenario in the video is one example. The education version uses symbols of circles, squares etc as shown in the PPT education slides.

Given financial literacy can be learned by many age groups and cultures, the target users for this project is quite wide. Experience has shown the game has been effective for middle school and high school level students as well as adults 18 years and older. That's its strength, but also its challenge.

MentaMorph is revolutionizing financial literacy education by combining technology, gaming and education in a whole new way. MentaMorph Money is a mobile game and workshops to practice financial decisions where it isn't boring, scary or costly to make mistakes. Users practice financial decisions in rounds like in real life, making multiple simultaneous decisions about income, expenses, assets and liabilities. Income Statements, Balance Sheets and graphs display progress and results and measure improvement. Educational content is paired with the game for participants to quickly and effectively gain distinctions on strategies for financial success.
Our goal is to mentally morph millions of minds about money.
