- Identify grant opportunities: Students can conduct thorough research to identify various grants available for nonprofit organizations, specifically those focused on education, women's empowerment, leadership development, and community engagement. They can explore government grants, private foundation grants, corporate grants, and grants from other relevant sources.
- Review eligibility criteria: Once potential grants are identified, students should carefully review the eligibility criteria for each grant. This may include specific requirements related to the organization's mission, geographic location, target demographic, project goals, or financial status. They should ensure that Meet the Motivators meets the requirements of each grant.
- Gather organizational information: Students can compile all the necessary organizational information required for grant applications. This may include details about the organization's mission, vision, programs, impact, financial statements, annual reports, and relevant legal documents.
- Match grant objectives: Students should assess the alignment between the objectives and priorities of Meet the Motivators and those outlined by the potential grant opportunities. They should prioritize grants that closely align with the organization's mission and goals to increase the likelihood of a successful application.
- Prepare grant applications: Students can assist in preparing comprehensive grant applications for each identified opportunity. This includes completing application forms, writing compelling narratives, providing supporting documentation, and addressing all required components of the application. They should pay attention to specific guidelines and deadlines for each grant.
- Seek guidance and review: Students can collaborate with Meet the Motivators' board of directors, organizing team, and expert professionals to seek guidance and review the grant applications. This ensures that the applications are accurate, well-presented, and effectively highlight the organization's strengths and impact.
- Submit applications: Students should coordinate the submission process for each grant application, ensuring that they are sent within the designated deadlines. They should keep track of all submitted applications and maintain proper communication with the granting organizations, if required.
Students will work closely with Executive Director, Jacqueline Dixon who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary. "Payment by funder C$1,400.00"
