Details

What is the main goal for the project?

The project's primary goal is to enhance the cybersecurity measures for Cameras For Girls, a small Canadian charity, to protect against potential cyber-attacks and data leaks. The project aims to ensure that the charity's data is secure and not vulnerable to cyber threats.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Conducting a comprehensive cybersecurity assessment of the charity's existing systems and processes.

- Implementing security measures such as encryption, firewalls, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.

- Developing and implementing a cybersecurity policy and training program for the charity's staff to raise awareness and ensure best practices.

- Conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in the charity's IT infrastructure.

- Establishing incident response and disaster recovery plans to mitigate the impact of any potential cyber-attacks.

Deliverables

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

- A comprehensive cybersecurity assessment report outlining the charity's IT security and recommendations for improvement.

- A report showing the charity how to implement necessary security measures and policies to enhance the charity's cybersecurity posture.

- Document incident response and disaster recovery plan to address potential cyber threats.

- Training materials and sessions for the charity's staff to raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices.

Mentorship

In supporting learners to complete the project, I will provide dedicated staff time for mentorship, guidance, and feedback throughout the duration of the project. Learners will have access to necessary tools and technology required for project completion, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed. Additionally, I will facilitate access to relevant data and information to enhance the quality and depth of their work. Through consistent communication and support, I aim to empower learners to excel in their project endeavors.
