The main goal for the project is to translate the book "Anti-Racist Psychotherapy" from English into French.


The book is approximately 56,000 words long and focuses on a trauma-based understanding for anti-black racism and the use of EMDR therapy to treat PTSD.


Knowledge and skill of using Microsoft Word is necessary.

The translator needs to be sufficiently skilled in both official languages.

Please note I am not seeking an AI generated text.


Assets: French as a mother tongue, a background in mental health discipline, knowledge of EMDR therapy, social justice, and/or neurobiology.


Must be available for check-ins on Tuesdays mornings.

  • First Review and Minor Edits (5 hours): Start reviewing the translated content for accuracy, making minor edits as necessary.

Week 6: Deep Review and Cultural Adaptation (10 hours)

My company specializes in treating complex trauma and complex racial trauma. I am an author of five books that span topics relating to anti-racist psychotherapy, mindfulness meditation, and therapeutic recommendations for providing culturally responsive care.

My goal is to increase the number of racially diverse therapists, anti-racist practitioners and reduce taboo about mental health from historically disadvantaged communities. I have developed a therapeutic approach that is highly effective for treating complex trauma symptoms and identity based stresses.

I am also a keynote speaker, workshop provider and consultant. I help other therapists, organizations and corporations to be more effectively anti-racist with their clients, coworkers, and organizational systems.
