Details

The main goal for the project is to develop and build methods for teaching STEM hands-on experiments to autistic kids. This will involve creating a curriculum that is tailored to the needs and learning styles of autistic children, as well as developing specialized teaching methods and materials to ensure their engagement and understanding of STEM concepts.

Deliverables

- Researching and understanding the specific learning needs of autistic children in the context of STEM education.

- Developing a curriculum that incorporates hands-on experiments and activities that cater to the sensory and cognitive needs of autistic kids.

- Creating teaching methods and materials that are adapted to the unique learning styles of autistic children, including visual aids, interactive tools, and sensory-friendly resources.

- Testing and refining the developed curriculum and teaching methods through pilot programs and feedback from autistic students and educators.

- Documenting the entire process and creating a comprehensive guide or manual for educators and parents to implement the STEM hands-on experiments for autistic kids.

Mentorship

We will regularly meet on weekly basis (or more if needed) and provide mentorship on explaining the special needs of autistic kids. We will provide access to lab data and required support on completion of this project.
