Local Grown Salad is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Intern to join and become an integral part of our dynamic HR team! As an HR Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team while being committed to leading and enhancing the Talent Experience.

Within our vertical farm, we are constantly developing ourselves and our products. The Exemplary projects are coding, marketing, food safety, food research. These projects have team leaders, and the HR Coordinator will be working closing with these Team Leaders assisting them with the day-to-day HR operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing potential candidates and developing talent pipelines.
  • Crafting and sending personalized recruiting emails/messages to receptive candidates.
  • Evaluating and screen resumes and cover letters
  • Providing a shortlist of qualified candidates to the Team Leaders.
  • Coordinating interviews with the shortlisted applicants
  • Coordinating the new employee onboarding process along with overseeing the recruitment process
  • Coordinating New Hire Authorizations with Team Leaders
  • Evaluating and improving existing HR procedure
  • Writing job postings and publishing them.
  • Resolving HR inquiries from employees
  • Maintenance of all HR records.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills students will develop:

  • Communication in a virtual environment
  • Familiarity with tools like Discord, Asana and GitLab
  • Taking responsibility
  • Personal and professional development

Some example deliverables that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

  • Communication between teams/projects
  • Maintaining agile project management in Asana
