OVERVIEW

We are looking for students with basic API coding experience who want to practice implementing and testing their skills on a real-world business problem. The coding is not overly complex, but we are looking for more efficient ways to build this program and make it more adaptable.

PROJECT SCOPE

Our current checkout process uses a service called Spiffy, which connects to Stripe to process payments. We had a previous student group help set this up. Now we'd like some help to use Stripe's APIs to create the checkout pages without Spiffy.

To accomplish this you will need to:

  • Develop some conditional coding in the API
  • Redesign the form
  • Refer to the education platform's API reference library
  • Develop and test the program
  • Document how to update the program

We will provide you with access to organizational assets that support the project. No software purchases are required to complete this.

We are still in the startup phase and unable to accept paid internships or co-op students at this time. We're really looking for folks who are completing an internship for credit or looking for experiential learning. While an honorarium could result at the end of the project, its not guaranteed and would not be equivalent to minimum wage for the hours worked.

Deliverables
No deliverables exist for this project.
Mentorship

We have mentorship available from previous students who worked on elements of our APIs and purchasing process.

You'll also received project-specific guidance as well as career coaching from our executive team.

You will be under direct project supervision as well as have documentation to refer to.
