target audienceA key part of our work is providing arts workshops to youth and organizations in and out of the arts. We work with a range of instructors to provide in-person and virtual workshops to school and community groups. This project is a unique opportunity for a student in theatre/performing arts or education to develop their own workshop for delivery in our community.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Reading and discussing documentation from previous workshops
- Determining an appropriate target audience from our community and partner organizations
- Proposing a topic and general outline for approval
- Creating the necessary content for their chosen workshop (eg. worksheets, slide decks, speaker notes, etc)
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Delivering their workshop to participants (if it can be offered remotely)
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to answer questions and provide example documentation from past workshops.
