Position - Health Informatics- Privacy Analyst
Project Background and Description:
FirstScreen is an employee health screening platform which quickly screens employees before they are allowed back in the workplace. We are a critical component of a WorkPlace Health and Safety program. Our software was MVP ready in Dec 2020. Our platform aligns to privacy legislation. However, we need a client-facing privacy guide for Canada. (FirstScreen.ca)
Project Objectives/Outcomes/Deliverables:
Build check-list for Canadian Privacy
Objective -Validate FirstScreen processes aligns to Canadian Guidelines for PHIPA compliancy. Using (USA privacy HIPAA) work directly with stakeholders to document internal protocols. Make recommendations for change.
Deliverables-Deliver FirstScreen PHIPA Guide as requested by clients. The document must be accurate, and professional. Our guide must align to FirstScreen Branding Guide.
Project Scope/Tasks:
Document internal Workflow for FirstScreen. Include flow-chat and roles responsible for that task.
Must document include the following:
a. Designate Organizations Contact person
b. Inventory of information to be covered by Privacy Plan
c. Identify the purposes for which you collect, use and disclose personal health information.
d. Develop practices regarding safeguards, retention and destruction.
e. Develop practices regarding access, correction and complaints.
f. Establish Privacy Breach Protocol.
g. Implement Privacy Plan
Preferred Skillsets:
· Solid foundation of Healthcare Information & Privacy guidelines
· Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
· Strong competency to document workflow charts.
· Experience in Information Technology an asset
· Well detailed and collaborative.
Eligibility/Compensation – Must be enrolled in 3rd/4thyear Post-Secondary Program in Health Information Science during employment period (Starting April 2020.)
Location: Remote 100%
Reporting into CEO, but will have access to internal Stakeholders such as IT/ Software developers.
