Details

The main goal will be the writing and production of a podcast miniseries documenting the history of the Dawson City Museum as a component of a larger, ongoing research project. The student will use the papers written for the research project to develop outlines for 6 podcast episodes and then participating in their development.

Deliverables

- Research: reading through research documentation and working papers for relevant discussion topics and information pertaining to those topics.

- Scripting: developing a set list of interview questions from research material, rewriting information as needed to present topics at an average language comprehension level.

- Recording & Interviewing: both recording episodes as audio engineer and participating as an interviewer/co-host.

- Audio Editing: utilizing audio processing software and techniques to ensure episode audio quality meets professional standards.

Mentorship

Through routine meetings and email correspondence as project manager. Additionally by participating in podcast recordings as host and primary interviewee.
