The main goal for the project is to build a competitive landscape for 171 Electric Bike Company Inc. and provide an analysis of the competitors. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:


- Researching and identifying direct competitors in the electric bike industry.


  • Identify the difference between a rebranded ebike & one direct from the manufacturer like 171 Electric Bike Company.


- Analyzing the products, pricing, and distribution channels of the identified competitors.


- Evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) of each competitor.


- Comparing the supply chain and distribution methods of the competitors to 171 Electric Bike Company Inc.'s direct from the manufacturer approach.


- Identifying potential areas of differentiation and competitive advantage for 171 Electric Bike Company Inc.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

The electric bike industry is the wild west where over 90% of imported ebikes are rebranded. Meaning you do not know the manufacturer which is important for the longevity of the product. Currently average ebike life is less than 500 hours and they cannot be repaired and end up in the landfill. That is why 171 Electric Bike Company was formed to do 2 things. Educate the consumer, and keep our ebikes out of the landfill. Our Company philosophy is 'Touch Green' our motto is 'Buy it once - Ride it for life"
