Challenge Outline: We’re looking to improve the environmental sustainability of the event industry.

Can we create a space in the marketplace to be the go-to ‘green’ production specialist, and is it viable to aim to offer all clients an eco option on every build and event by a deadline?

Key aims/objectives:

1) Do end users who attend events and see PR stunts in the public space notice if they are environmentally sustainable? Is an event/brand being green a driver to attend the event or use the brand?

2) How might we use sustainable materials and alternatives in our set building? What construction materials should we use?

3) How might offering green alternatives impact the business? i.e. do we need to charge a premium to make builds and events environmentally friendly? If we are going to propose the storage and re-use of building materials, how do we need to work this into original costing?

4) Is it possible for us to track a carbon footprint of a job (including all materials, travel, consumer travel, food etc)? How could we fold this smoothly into our existing processes without adding a huge admin burden to our team? Once calculated, how can we reduce this impact?
