The goal of this project is to develop a JavaScript connector that retrieves ticket information from Jira using its public APIs. The retrieved data will then be analyzed and visualized using Looker Studio and Power BI. Jira currently offers basic capabilities in terms of reporting and we would bring this aspect to a whole other level to help managers have better visibility on their teams in a easy and plug-and-play matter, with the possibility to add customization.

Deliverables
  1. A detailed design report/schema outlining the connector architecture and data retrieval and storage process.
  2. The JavaScript connector source code, preferably hosted on a free-to-run platform with corn jobs like Google Apps Script (https://developers.google.com/apps-script).
  3. Data transformation to pipe the data in both Looker Studio and Power BI
  4. Data presentation in both Looker Studio and Power BI dashboards containing graphs and analyses of Jira ticket data.
  5. A user guide for configuring and using the connector.
  6. A detailed analysis report outlining the results obtained and conclusions drawn from the data analysis.
