Positions Available: 5

TRU Career and Experiential Learning is looking for an HR student who wants to gain experience in Recruitment, Onboarding, Orientation and General HR Skills. This project is an opportunity to develop generalized HR skills that will assist with future HR employment opportunities.

Deliverables

This 8-phase project is designed as a way to develop skills in recruitment, orientation, onboarding and grant management.

This project will focus on:

  • Develop a new co-op student training manual for Mock Interviewers
  • Develop new onboarding process and documentation for new Co-op students and faculty members
  • Develop 2-week Co-op student orientation program for new TRU Co-op students
  • Create onboarding activities focussed on team building. (Create, Develop, Lead, Refine)
  • Manage grant smartsheets system for co-op students on campus
  • Assist with grant writing to support fall/winter student wage subsidy programs
Mentorship

Weekly meetings with supervisor, monthly department meetings, training sessions.
