Details

CICOLAB.org is a collective intelligence collaboratory that promotes "exopreneurs," or systems-thinking entrepeneurs. We imagine a network of fully interoperable software that creates tremendous value for its participants, instead of massive value for the aggregators (People-centric data architecture instead of platform-centric). We are struggling because there is very little awareness of the potential of commons-based innovation and the business models are still in their infancy. You will have access to an entire team of experts on this issue, but will have to create an overarching story that sells these ideas and explains how intellectual property could work in such an environment. You are to write a report that makes interoperability seem like an amazing investment opportunity. (It is, actually, but we are not sure how to explain it articulately in ways that investors could understand).

Mentorship

We are a peer-to-peer network of people who despise hierarchy, and we are not particularly interested in strictly supervising your work. We have a whole network of new paradigm thinkers that are innovating in dimensions you might never have even thought of, so it is a very rich environment for entrepreneurs, and you will have no shortage of people to mentor you or to explain things to you. We will tell you what we have already figured out, but we are really very interested in your thoughts and how you creatively transform the information that we give you into standard business language. You will receive a lot of feedback from your peers.
