Neurofit is looking to learn more about business development and growth strategy to international markets.

We are looking for a deeper understanding of these markets and through a deep dive of our industry/market, we hope to identify key market trends to assist in our go-forward plans. We want to look at growth trends, and align these with our product and markets to streamline the market entry process, for example. This is important for us as we recognize that our solution can support the needs of people worldwide, such that having a roadmap for international markets would greatly enhance our business development goals.

We believe that there is enough industry data available to complete a study of our sector. It would be extremely helpful for a student group to look at our industry, and implement a strategy based on the key areas indicated below. We are open to all information that seems appropriate and valuable.

Using these findings, we would like a detailed and researched report and implementation strategy on these international markets to maximize our impact and the future of our business.

Examples of key areas we would like to address in this project include:

  • Identifying which international market to enter (including a brief market entry strategy)
  • Outlining how to enter an international market (including identification of key risks, estimated costs, and launch strategies).
  • Providing tactical or operational recommendations for a defined market entry/expansion strategy (i.e. hiring/management strategies, cultural norms, and laws/regulations)
  • Identifying potential international partners for international expansion, and providing a brief strategic overview).

The Ontario Brain Institute is a provincially-funded, not-for-profit research centre that accelerates discovery and innovation to benefit patients and the economy, today and for generations to come. We are pioneering a ‘team science’ approach that brings together researchers, clinicians, industry, patients, and their advocates to foster discovery and deliver innovative products and services that improve the lives of those living with brain disorders.

OBI partners with research and industry to co-ordinate commercialization and application of brain-related technologies. Programs like ONtrepreneurs and NERD help de-risk investment in neurotechnologies bridging the funding gap between research  and private capital to ensure validated brain-related technology.

OBI has joined to Riipen platform to provide additional support to our portfolio companies and to create an opportunity to provide experiential learning opportunities to build capacity in the neurotech sector.
