Nova Scotia Peoples Free Farm

Why:

-offering nature healing to those who need it (ie. everyone!)
-food security through training (Teach a man to fish versus Give a man a fish)

-Access to organic, locally grown, fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs for anyone

-education: training in farming, natural medicines, gardening

What:

-education, service, charity, health, environment

• Anyone with an interest in food equity, organic gardening and farming

⁃ Provide assistance to School garden programs
⁃ Edible front yard projects ( create edible front yard gardens)

⁃ Provide assistance to Community gardens

Infrastructure required

• Land with potential for farming
• shelter for meetings/ meals
• water access and distribution
• Machinery for clearing/preparing land for no-till agriculture
