We are looking to objectively measure the educational impact of our after-school program using a qualitative, multiple-case study methodology. Data will be gathered from principals at schools where our program has been conducted.

We will provide the principal contact information, and will obtain their consent to participate. Students will be responsible for:

• Determining the process for selecting participants
• Interview scheduling
• Developing the list of questions, with our input
• Conducting the interviews (via phone) with principals
• Analyzing data
• Writing the case study content
• Writing general conclusions from the study showing the educational impact of the program

Our objective is to have quality research with construct, internal, and external validity that accurately measures the educational impact of our program.

Possible uses for the content:

• Securing foundational and donor funding for future programs
• Securing additional schools for our program
• Attracting volunteers

Tasks students will need to complete include:

• Research study design
• Interviewing
• Data recognition and interpretation
• Writing a final report that summarizes each case study and describes student findings as they relate to the program's educational impact

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship throughout the project. A dedicated staff member will be available to respond to questions via email and in virtual meetings, if needed. Employer will provide access to the subjects (principals).
