Positions available: One individual student

Our organization needs some video post-production help! We are looking for someone with video editing experience who can help with both adding the finishing touches on student projects, as well as creating promotional and client content from existing materials. This would include collaboration with in-house video editors and post-production managers, and making the best film possible with the available materials and time limitations.

We believe this project will require:

  • Understanding our post-production workflow and the requirements of individual projects
  • Understanding our video style, in terms of youth-made/program projects, promotional videos, and professional products
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Skill and consistency in using our file management protocol
  • Strong teamwork and communication

We will give you access to organizational assets such as the Adobe Suite to support this project, as well as personnel, and branding materials.

We hope to work with one project intern, for 10-15 hours per week for a total of 80 hours.

Would also be involved in weekly staff meetings.

Reel Youth is a media empowerment project of MakeWay Charitable Society that delivers community development programming to youth and adults across Canada and internationally. Film production and distribution programs are designed to create positive change in young people's lives through technical skill building, leadership training, creative collaboration with peers and mentors, and increased connection to community resources.

Our award winning programs support participants to create media about issues they care about as they gain tangible media production and leadership skills. Programs are as much about film making as building personal resiliency in marginalized youth to overcome challenges, be successful, and inspire those around them.
