Details

The goal of this project is to develop a virtual coach application that leverages computer vision and machine learning to analyze a user's exercise form. The application will utilize a computer's camera to capture video footage of the user performing exercises. By processing these images, the system will identify key body positions and movements, comparing them against ideal form standards. The project aims to provide real-time feedback to users, highlighting any deviations or mistakes in their form. This tool will help users improve their exercise techniques, reduce the risk of injury, and enhance overall workout effectiveness. The project will focus on a limited set of exercises to ensure accuracy and reliability within the given timeframe.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include a functional prototype of the virtual coach application, capable of real-time video analysis and feedback. The application should include a user-friendly interface and support for at least three common exercises. Additionally, a report detailing the image processing and machine learning techniques used, along with a user guide, will be provided. The project will also include a demonstration video showcasing the application's capabilities.
