PlanetBio is a global hub for Life Science news, jobs, and community.


We're seeking interns to help with the ongoing process of identifying, attracting, and engaging potential candidates, including the overall process of filling job vacancies. The right candidate for the intern position will have a major/minor in Biology/Biochemistry or one of the other Life Sciences. In addition, the intern will perform outreach to companies within the Life Sciences ecosystem. Interns will help design job descriptions, and recruitment and selection strategy. Interns will also be responsible for transferring job postings listed on the client company websites onto the PlanetBio website.



Deliverables
  • Using LinkedIn, our Interns will perform connection invitation campaigns in the LIfe Sciences for recruitment lead generation.
  • Our Interns will arrange meetings via email marketing campaigns with Life Sciences Talent Acquisition and Recruitment executives, including hiring managers to discuss partnering with PlanetBio.
  • Our Interns will use marketing materials to invite prospective client companies to list their job postings on PlanetBio's job page, taking advantage of our promotional campaign.
  • Our Interns will help drive PlanetBio membership through LinkedIn and email correspondence with prospective members.
  • Our Interns may also be requested to perform various other administrative tasks as needed by PlanetBio founders.


Mentorship
  • Interns will be paid via a commission structure, for their involvement in job placements
  • Interns who work with PlanetBio have the opportunity to become PlanetBio members where they will receive mentorship and guidance, and assistance with their career aspirations.
  • PlanetBio founders will meet weekly or bi-weekly by web-conferencing (Zoom, MS Teams, etc) with the Interns to provide guidance on networking and outreach efforts.
  • PlanetBio founders are available through email and on Discord for any questions or concerns on an immediate basis.
  • PlanetBio founders will provide technical support to assist Interns with in-putting job postings on the PlanetBio website.
  • PlanetBio founders may also assist with job search and placement for Interns pursuing biology-related careers.
