PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET:

We are a leading provider in mental health and wellness services and the first black owned EFAP (Employee Family Assistance Program) service within Canada. With the largest network of culturally diverse therapists representing a number of different disciplines, we focus on supporting people from diverse backgrounds receive quality support.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Communication Specialist to help us create/maintain a positive public image for Support & Growth. You would be tasked with identifying media opportunities, maintaining existing media relations, and promoting positive public awareness of the company through external communications.

The Communication Specialist will deliver effective and timely communication programs to increase awareness of our practice and goals

KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET:

  • Plan and develop corporate and strategic communications projects. (eg. develops educational and resource materials, materials for articles/blogs, presentations, and updating program information on web page)
  • Responsible for writing memos, media releases, articles/blogs, key messages, presentations, and other writing for internal/external publications as they arise
  • Develop messaging and monitor social media Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram for various initiatives or issues
  • Assist in the planning and execution of crisis communications, including outbreaks, issues management, and reputation management
  • Manages external suppliers such as graphic designers, consultants, videographers and photographers, as required
  • Lead the corporate social media strategy which aligns with S&G’s strategic vision, and promotes and enhances our brand reputation
