Details

We are looking for an organized and social media savvy individual with strong communication knowledge to help grow and implement LCOY Canada’s social media communication. This role will involve using your expertise in communication, graphic design, social media channels, and customer service to oversee anything and everything related to running LCOY Canada’s social media. The role will be under the Public Relations (PR) team and work largely independently. Furthermore, the individual will drive LCOY Canada’s engagement efforts across youth and youth organization. This role will involve using your expertise in communications and relationship building to oversee our efforts to meaningfully engage youth-focused organizations for their participation in the conference. The role will assist the LCOY Canada Conference Organizer and Engagement Lead to continue to manage the existing relationship with partnered organizations, build new ones, and build the attendance of youth for LCOY Canada.

Deliverables

Social Media

- Utilize Meta Business Manager to manage Meta profile pages and content posting

- Reply to comments and direct manages following response framework

- Support in running PR channels and solving problems that arise

- Maintain project documentation and course folders

- Assist in creating social media communication strategy

Engagement

- Create with the Engagement Lead an effective strategy creation implementation to ensure wide-spread youth/organizational participation in the conference

- Follow the LCOY Canada Public Relations Guide

- Report on engagement results

- Oversee relationship building across youth and youth organizations

- Oversee the engagement across our highschool, university, community, and indigenous levels

- Maintain project documentation and course folders

Funds

- Scouting funds and grants.

Mentorship

- Provide 1:1 mentorship on the projects

- Assist in completion of tasks

- Organzing weekly follow-up meetings for questions and progress
