Project: Our program of research is situated in older adults, long-term care, community, education, and practice. We are currently involved in writing a research proposal for the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation Impact Grant call. The study will be a randomized control trial to test the integration of a navigator into the care team for persons living with dementia and their close ones in community. The project is situated within an interprofessional team, using a patient-oriented research approach.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Complete an academic literature search within the past 5 years using key terms and databases identified by the POR team to write the background for the proposal
2. Co-write the proposal for submission to granting agency, including supporting documents (recruitment materials, research tools)
3. Other responsibilities as negotiated

1. Literature review - aging in place, navigator role, dementia, caregiving, community services
2. Proposal - background, methodology (waitlist randomized control trial), research environment, knowledge translation
3. Recruitment material - data collection tools (digital), recruitment posters (electronic including social media)

Our team consists of experienced researchers, research assistance and family partners. Weekly support is available with mentorship. As a patient-oriented research team, inclusivity is very important and building capacity. We welcome diverse students.
