adobe premiere pro videography post-production strong work ethic time management zoom (video conferencing tool) communication editingPositions available: Two individual students
Our organization is hiring 2 students to produce a series of slow TV programs featuring coastal BC (see https://youtu.be/Xo_KNDOuP5c). We are looking for someone with videography and editing experience to plan, film, and edit this series of long videos. This is a remote internship that would include collaboration by phone, Zoom, and email with in-house staff and managers to ensure high-quality final films within a limited budget and time limitations.
We believe this project will require:
- Video and post-production equipment
- Post-production experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Access to landscapes and vistas that would be vehicle and willingness to travel within coastal BC
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and independence
We will give you access to organizational assets such as the Adobe Suite to support this project, as well as mentorship.
We hope to work with two project interns, for 10-20 hours per week for a total of 80 hours.
Students will have one primary supervisor, who will be available by email and phone during regular business hours as needed. Initial onboarding and ongoing weekly meetings will ensure that the student has regular mentorship and support. Finally, the student will attend weekly staff meetings where the entire team meets to track organizational events and projects and troubleshoot as a group.
About the company
Reel Youth is a media empowerment project of MakeWay Charitable Society that delivers community development programming to youth and adults across Canada and internationally. Film production and distribution programs are designed to create positive change in young people's lives through technical skill building, leadership training, creative collaboration with peers and mentors, and increased connection to community resources.
Our award winning programs support participants to create media about issues they care about as they gain tangible media production and leadership skills. Programs are as much about film making as building personal resiliency in marginalized youth to overcome challenges, be successful, and inspire those around them.
