foreign language browser compatibility test planning safety assuranceEnglish Islands (www.englishislands.com) builds games to teach kids foreign languages. Our games undergo continual testing to ensure the best possible experience for students.
We would like you to get to know our users, their needs and expectations for game use and then execute a detailed testing plan for our games.
This will involve:
- Getting to know our product, its users and the desired outcomes.
- Execution of a testing plan, including checking browser compatibility across various devices and detailed reporting of bugs using our templates.
Bonus points for:
- Ability to improve upon our existing testing methodology
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- Familiarize themselves with our product and its requirements
- Familiarize themselves with different testing strategies, what to look for in a testing, what to test for etc.
- Execute the test plan and present the final results to us with the context of all their outcomes, detailed bug reports, and next steps they recommend.
- Make an effort to improve our existing testing methods
Final deliverables include:
- The written test plan and outcomes report
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Who are users are and what they expect from playing the game
- Industry standard testing approaches and software tools
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter
About the company
We're working to solve the literacy crisis in North America, where up to 2 out of 3 children are below grade reading level. To support students both inside and outside the classroom, we built an AI-powered literacy tutor that teaches and assesses like a real teacher!
