IISB works to open doors for Indigenous Speakers and Knowledge-keepers to share their wisdom, perspectives, solutions, and world views to communities around the globe. At IISB, we believe education and understanding are key to creating better pathways for our future generations. 2024 Level Up Comms K - Continued Experience and Learning
This Level Up Project is for students who wish to learn and develop their communications skills across cultures. This is the one of a gradual multiple-step learning experience designed to allow students to garner continued learning and experience in Indigenous Communications. Project Details: In this project level students will continue to build upon the skills learned and developed in previous project levels and attend respective team meetings. The goal of this project is to equip students with the necessary skills to work with IISB, an Indigenous organization, to develop communications assets. Students who complete this level of communications experience will then be eligible to go on to the next level of communications projects.

2024 Level Up Video Editing D - Video Editing Practice II
This Level Up Project is for Indigenous video editors who wish to learn and develop their video editing skills across cultures. This is an 80-hour project and a pre-requisite for additional video editing projects. This is one of a gradual multiple-step learning experience in Indigenous video development and editing. This project is designed for people who identify as Indigenous Project Details: Students will attend respective team meetings. Students will shadow and work alongside a Production specialist to learn more video editing and development techniques as well as work on some presentation on demand (POD) trailers. The goal of this project is to equip students with the skills to move forward to work confidently with IISB in the curation of Knowledge Nuggets. Students who complete this level of video editing training will then be eligible to go on to the next level of video editing projects.
2024 Level Up Comms B - Introduction to Indigenous Communications
This Level Up Project is for students who wish to learn and develop their communications skills across cultures. This is the one of a gradual multiple step learning experience in Indigenous Communications. Project Details: In this project level students will watch 6 Indigenous Education videos, complete corresponding reflection pages for each, and attend respective team meetings. Students will shadow and work alongside a Communications specialist to continue becoming more proficient with general communications, and journalistic communications while also becoming familiar with Indigenous communications. The goal of this project is to equip students with the necessary skills to competely work with IISB, an Indigenous organization, to develop communications assets. Students who complete this level of communication project, will then be eligible to go on to the next level of communications projects.
