Introduction We are Dough Dough Digital Inc., the parent company of Billy's Cookies, a Toronto-based game studio. Billy's Cookies is gearing up to release the pre-alpha of "Make a Hit!", a music puzzle game, for a closed playtest where players can sign up and experience the game firsthand. We’re seeking a passionate Community Engagement and Marketing Specialist to join us for this exciting one-month project. Your mission? Help us attract as many people as possible to try "Make a Hit!", evaluate critical feedback, and build a thriving community of music and puzzle game enthusiasts. Responsibilities Content Ideation : Develop creative ideas for social media posts, videos, and other content to promote "Make a Hit!" and spark excitement. Community Engagement on Discord : Manage and grow our Discord community by fostering discussions, organizing events, and creating a welcoming environment. Monitoring Feedback : Collect and analyze feedback from the community and playtesters to provide actionable insights to the development team. Content Calendar Management : Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic posting across platforms. Influencer and Creator Outreach : Identify and reach out to potential influencers and creators who align with our game’s target audience (noting this may be an early-stage effort). Customer Support and Inquiry Management : Provide timely and helpful responses to community inquiries and support requests.
Multi-Language Localization for Indie Game - Spanish & French Translation
Students will gain hands-on experience in video game localization by translating and adapting marketing materials and in-game content for "Make a Hit!" - the 80's puzzle roguelike game. The project aims to prepare comprehensive Spanish and French language packages for the upcoming demo release, including marketing videos for social media platforms and in-game text.
QA Team for "Make a Hit!"
Introduction As Billy's Cookies gears up for the closed playtest of "Make a Hit!", we are forming a meticulous QA Team to ensure the game meets top-tier quality standards. Your role will involve testing various game aspects—audio, UI, and gameplay—to identify and resolve issues before launch. We’re seeking detail-oriented individuals experienced with project management software to help us deliver a flawless player experience. Responsibilities Execute predefined test cases and complete checklists to assess game functionality across audio, UI, and gameplay categories. Identify and document bugs, creating detailed tickets in project management software with reproduction steps and severity levels. Work alongside the development team to track and verify bug fixes and improvements. Offer constructive feedback on game quality, usability, and overall player experience.
