SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT/MARKETING INTERN
The main project for a Social Media Engagement and Marketing Intern is to contribute to Spinning Forward's content by designing and editing social media content in the form of short audio videos on mainly TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter/X. It is important to help excellent research skills as you will be researching content creators and experts based on specific topics. Spinning Forward is a local journalism company that covers issues important to 16 to 34-year-old people of color who aspire to become content creators in the Toronto region. We cover issues and topics important to our audience online and in the real world. Some topics include comparison culture, mental health and burnout, cost of living and affordability, online harassment and negativity, financial inclusion and success, and career resilience.
Content Creator and Writer Project
The main project is for a content writer and creator who can contribute to Spinning Forward's content by producing impactful and engaging stories that help our audience of aspiring 16 to 34 year-old online content creators in the Greater Toronto Area succeed. We are a local journalism company that covers issues important to 16 to 34 year old people of color who aspire to become content creators. We covers issues important to our audience in the real world like affordability, food insecurity, mental health and others as well as issues in the online world like comparison culture, burnout, financial inclusion and how to earn a living, online negative comments and many other topics. Additionally, a writer and content creator will be curious, have great research skills and want to improve ther storytelling and writing skills. They also have an interest in issues like social justice, equity and diversity and financial inclusion for underrepresented and marginalized communities. Embody Spinning Forward's approach to writing by sifting out the โnoiseโ from the 24-hour news cycle and telling news stories in a way that will resonate most with our readers, who are Gen Z and Millennials. Bring a curiosity-driven mindset to your work. Content Writer
The main project goal for this job description is to hire a writer and who can contribute to Spinning Forward's content by producing impactful and engaging stories related to the online creator economy and aspiring content creators of color in the Greater Toronto Area. The writer should be able to pitch and produce stories for the newsletter and social media channels, while embodying Spinning Forward's approach to storytelling by focusing on relevant and resonating news stories for their Gen Z and Millennial readership. The writer may also do script writing and storyboarding for in order to convert articles to short for video scripts. Additionally, the goal is to find a writer who is curious, committed to improving their writing skills, and passionate about issues of equity, diversity, and financial inclusion. Audio & Video Editor for Toronto Local Multimedia Company
The main project goal is to work with a intern well versed in cty, and financial inclusion for underrepresented communitreatively coming up with ideas and creating short and longer audio and videoย for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram as well as a podcast.
