Does your company need help with your accounting processes? Students from MacEwan University can provide basic accounting support and complete Trial Balances for January, February and March.

Students will work individually, but companies are welcome to take on more than one student.

Students will work at the Community Partner to accomplish accounting tasks approximately 2-3 hours total per week.

Trial Balances for the months of January, February, and March.

Requirements

Projects might include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts payable or receivable
  • Journal entries
  • Entering inventory
  • Charitable receipt generation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Prepare reports (Budget vs Actual)
  • Prepare monthly or yearend financial statements with notes
  • Adapting to a virtual platform

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Company partners will be asked to complete a work-integrated learning form to be submitted to MacEwan.

Be available for a quick phone call with the Experiential Learning Facilitator to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
